The real story behind Valentine's Day

Today, people all over the world celebrate Valentine's Day, which is based on romantic love. How many people around the world have experienced a romantic attachment?

How many were hurt when it became apparent that their goals were different, and the relationship broke apart? Romantic attachments turn into genocides.

This is February, and we are once again looking at the overview concept of creating the life you want. January is about having a plan, but also starting to deal with the people who are resisting your plan, even to the point of stealing it. March is about bringing in the people to help you create your plan, but what if your plan is not a plan that benefits everyone but a plot for revenge that benefits no one. The overview idea allows us to renew our sense of purpose and to look at what we are doing from the wider perspective before we once against focus on taking a step to create the plan.

When you make a choice to stand on the principles that you have the right to create your plan, and it stands on the principles that are addressed in the Christianity segment, your choice affects the people who rely on you for their security and support. It starts a dance in the family. The relationship goes through a series of battles called, the Battles of Armageddon, until they split apart.

Today is not the day for thinking about splitting apart due to different goals, but for being together. The strongest relationships are based not on romantic attachments, but on life-partnerships, which are based on having the same goals.

With life-partnerships, everyone assumes responsibility for their own financial support, and creates a vocation and an avocation, and one's vocation is the other's avocation. The two mentor each other.

Our Getting Out of the Abyss classes include the Crisis in the Family and the Lifepartnership segments, which go into this topic in far greater depth.
